Clients are provided with flexible consulting fee options. These are suited to meet the client’s financial budget & project risk classification.
Fee categories are structured on A: Voltoni’s internal resource expertise & capability, & B: where additional and appropriately selected external specialist peer review or verification is required.
OPTION A: Clients are presented with a final report which is based on the in-house capability & expertise of Voltoni Ltd. In-house capability and expertise includes the following:
- More than 40 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering
- Professional reports compiled from diverse organisational experience including manufacturing, electricity distribution & transmission utility, construction contractors & engineering consulting
- Diversity in electricity utility experience including research, transmission network performance & utilisation including the design of distribution substations & overhead lines (<132 kV), operations & maintenance of transmission networks of up to 400 kV AC & 533 kV DC, & insulation coordination of transmission up to 765 kV.
- Professional engineering registration – RPEng (Australia), RPEQ (Australia) & CEng (UK)
- Application of professional engineering software – CDEGS, ETAP, EMTP-RV, Maple & MapleSim
- Accreditation in the use of engineering software – CDEGS Level II (Laval Canada), ETAP Advanced Transient Analysis (Houston USA), EMTP-RV Insulation Coordination (University of Wisconsin USA)
- Professional indemnity & public liability insurance of $2,000,000 (NZD)
- Actively involved in academic institutions & participating member of Cigré working groups – WG 2 Insulation coordination of EHV and HV cables
OPTION B: Based on the availability of financial resources & the risk categorisation of projects, clients may require a more costly option of having Voltoni Ltd reports being peered review or verified by external organisations. Voltoni Ltd can advise on the sourcing of international acclaimed specialists in the relevant fields. These specialists have authored engineering reference books, textbooks, transactions, journals & technical papers. In addition, they are currently active in international working groups such as EPRI & Cigré.
